What was/is the pager message?

What was that masked bandit?

I saw this new thing appear and now disappear under "private messages" labelled "pager messages" I clicked on it and came up an empty list. Couldn't find a way to send one though and now I noticed, it's gone!

Hi Jay!

Parker was attempting to implement an "instant messenger"
feature for this forum where members would be able to chat
with one another within the forum environment.

The pager was part of that feature.

Unfortunately, upon testing the feature, Parker noticed that
it was using a huge amount of resources, resulting in the forum
slowing down significantly.

In the end it was decided not to implement the feature.
