Re: Terminator 4

I liked this second trailer. It was a lot better than the previous one. What I liked about the trailer is the mystery aspect. Humans don’t know yet that the robots are growing skins.

Re: Terminator 4

from the trailer it looked like it was more than that, almost real inside parts or something, and from the tone it looked like it was something john conner never expected and he should know whats coming. or maybe i mis-saw some of it, granted i was tired and sick when i watched it.

Re: Terminator 4

Sure, John Connor knows about it, but he doesn't know exactly how or when they start putting skin on terminators. And from the looks of the trailer, the first terminators with skin don't even know they are in fact terminators.

I thought the same thing. Why doesn't John know/realize that the robot is a terminator? He acts surprized.

Because terminators with skin have been chasing him since he was a kid. There's no way an adult John should be surprised by this. Surprised maybe by who is a terminator, but not that the cyborgs exist.

Re: Terminator 4

Well there is always a first. Imagine this is the first timeline where John Conner as an adult first discovers the robots in the future, before he sends anything back in time.

In the first teaser there is a scene where John tells one of the Terminators that they killed his father, so this would be the current timeline after the first Terminator was sent back.

Re: Terminator 4

T4 took so many years to get going I wondered if it would happen at all! Seen all T movies so far on the first screening here in the UK and hope I am up to T4's first screening.. Trouble is, since watching the first one I have got grey hair..

Hope T4 is worth the wait.

Re: Terminator 4

Heh, why not show an old abandoned re-election campaign office featuring old posters of the then-Governor of California, whose face was evidently subsequently used by Skynet in making the T-800s?

(OK, logic fails there if we want to nitpick, if survivors spotted the former Governor from years ago pre-Judgment Day they'd suspect a skinjob immediately. It's not a good disguise to use the face of a celebrity.)

No, but if it's the only skin that fits....

...especially one whose rise to fame was primarily through a highly successful series of films about killer cyborgs that looked human...
