For anyone disappointed with the Capote and The Squid and the Whale prices who is looking to buy both of them, there's a pretty good deal at Amazon:

Nathan, thanks for the heads-up on this. Deal snagged!!

-Batman Beyond:Season 1
-Bewitched:Season 3
-Justice League:Season 1
-Mind of Mencia:Season 1

Thanks guys!

Definately Justice League and Ten Commandments for me.

I may also snag Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome over ar CC.

I haven't started collecting South Park yet, but it may be a good time to start. Sure will be interesting to see if that pulled episode makes it on the season 9(?) dvd when its released.

He threatened to withdraw from all publicity for MI:3 if the episode was shown again.

If he's planning on "Promoting" MI:3 in a similar manner as he did for "War of the Worlds" It would probably be better for Viacom to have him sit it out. Isn't he contractually obligated to promote the film? Couldn't he be sued if he doesn't. Oh well, I guess it the Standard Operating Proceedure for networks to cave in to pressure.

Kinda Broke this week, I want Bewitched S3, Batman Beyond S1 and Justice League S1 at some point but they are gonna have to wait for now...
don't plan on finding a deal, but i'm picking up bukowski: born into this, on tuesday.
and probably chicken little for the kids.

It seems as if online is the way to go with Stalag 17 as DDD has it for $13 and change. I will be checking Walmart for Dreamer to see if it will beat CC price.

I've been looking forward to tomorrow for a while...

Justice League and Batman Beyond

Both at BB with my RZ card...
Price matching CC's price of Ten Commandments over at BB and using a $5 coupon to boot. I'll get it for $10. This is the 3 disc version that us fans have been waiting for for a long time. It's Paramount's 3rd time releasing this title on DVD and it will include DeMille's silent version, finally! It's still not all it could be, but it's close.

I went to Best Buy here in Portland expecting to pick up "The Flyng Nun" for $27.99. It was tagged $39.99 and there were no shelf tags to say it was on sale. I took it up to the cashier and asked for a price check. It rang up $39.99. I said no thanks and left.

Costco has the Busby Berkeley set for $39.99 plus you get a bonus 8 track soundtrack CD with it. I don't know if this is exclusive to Costco or not.

10 Commandments was $14.99 there.

Went to Best Buy and picked up Chicken Little with a price match to Circuit City for $13.99, and they gave me no grief about getting the 2 pez's with it.
My Walmart had Chicken Little for $13.87...

No bonus disc or any extra spiffy item with it though

Amazingly enough, WalMart was $3 more expensive than CC on the Ten Commandments box. Price matched it at BB today. What a handsome looking set. Can't wait to dig into it!
It's a little late, but Target has a deal when you buy Chicken Little on DVD ($15.99) and the video game version (I think it was $29.99 for each system) you get a free $10 Target gift card.
Just as a point of interest: we've seen Amazon suddenly drop prices on release day or shortly thereafter, but I just noticed something disturbing that I hope isn't the start of a trend: they went the other way on "Chicken Little," which is now showing a price of $15.98 as opposed to the $14.96 noted above.

I wonder if Wal-Mart will be carrying Stalag 17?!

I don't see why not. Might even be a pretty good price.
yes Wal-mart had Stalag 17 for $13.92

I don't know if it was advertised or not, but I saw Monk: Seasons 1-3 on sale for $19.99 each at Best Buy. There was a little "sale" sign next to them on the shelf.
That's 66% off -- a great price. Too bad I already have them all.

So, I happen to be near a different Best Buy in my area (Saratoga Springs) yesterday during "lunchtime" and I thought I would run in and pick up Justice League and.. and um.. I know there was something else... What the hell was it?

It wasn't until I got back to work and to this forum that I saw I had also wanted "The Ten Commandments"! It was not on display in their "new release" area, as I was looking over those shelves very carefully.

Oh well, wouldn't be the first time I made a second weekly trip to BB.

Having a general sense of the kind of hours Ric's job entails, my favorite part of that whole story is the quotation marks around "lunchtime"!
