I'm glad this has been revived as I've been meaning to add something again. The Arby's commercials with "What were you thinking?" are so very annoying. Especially the one with Jack scoring a touchdown. "I can still here them chanting, "Go Jack, GOOO JACK!", but they were actually saying, "Go Back."" How stupid. Correct me if I'm wrong as I'm more of a casual football fan, but if he ran the wrong way, wouldn't that be a safety?

Hmmmm, since the commercial involves a car accident, perhaps we could get that damn Gecko involved...I'd love to see him squished under the tires.

Of course if you follow the Final Destination version of that, there would first be a guy who throws down a cigarette which causes a spark, which slowly burns through a rope, which is holding a load of sheetrock, which falls on a board where the Geico Gecko is sitting on the opposite end of it and it propells him through the air where he lands in the street and then gets crushed by the same car that hits the VW in the commercial and that's what caused the crash to begin with.

Those new GEICO commercials with the Z-list celebrities are even more excruciating than that dumbass reptile.

Plus that McCormick spice commercial with that stupid kid speaking with a french accent just because he's using a pepper grinder.

The new "Anything but cute" Dodge Caliber commercial with the bear and the pig made me sick. Of all the recent mean-spirited ads marketing cars as evil killing machines, this was by far the worst.

We have one in Fort Wayne on the radio for the Chamber of Commerce. I never understood why the Chamber of Commerce needed a comercial but this it was it does. It is some really lame guy singing: "Community service, Community firm, Fort Wayne Chamber of Commerce." during the commercial it sings this same line numerous times and it is totally pathetic the way the guy sings it. If you paid me one million dollars I might consider singing the line once for a small audience if that describes how lame it really is.

The Orbit gum commercial with Snoop Dogg annoys the hell out of me, especially with the warning on the bottom that says chewing Orbit gum won't get you into Heaven.

I don't like that Burger King chicken French fries commercial either.

There's actually a BK radio commercial that I like. The one where they imitate a radio station's promo. With hits like, "I've got double vision, from a croissanwich collision ". I also like the Micropricing Technology commercial. Those two make me smile.

The new Honda commercials with the animated "Mr. Opportunity" where he keeps flubbing his lines. Very forced, annoying attempt at something resembling humor.

And another car commercial (Lexus?) with that repetitive "streets of tomorrow" song. *cringe*

The worst commercial for me now is the Hummer H3 commercial where the mother who gets pushed around by another mother goes out and buys a Hummer "Get your girl on" is the tag line.

This commercial is basically saying what many have believed for years - that Hummers are for passive-aggresive soccer moms.

Cameron, have you seen the one where the "California-looking" guy is at the grocery store buying tofu and veggies and there is another guy in line....I forget what the guy looked like, but it was the typical "Beer Buying" / "Tons of meat" guy. They look at each other and the 'meat' guy gives him that "What the hell are you buying tofu for??" look.

Then the Tofu guy goes out and gets a Hummer H3, etc and they do that "Restore the balance" tag.

On the Flash page window, go to the far right "Hummer World" and choose "TV Commercials" at the bottom of the drop down menu. The one I'm talking about is called "Tofu". Watch it and prepare to roll your eyes.


p.s. The BEST (or worst) part of the commercial is the end tag: "EPA Estimated 20 MPG HWY" - Wooooo! What a freakin' selling point!!!!

Gameshow commercials and ANYTHING with Wilmford Brimley. I've seen those enough during Price is Right that it was one major reason for getting a Cablevision DVR device. I NEVER have to sit through him again! I'm FREE! Mwuhahahahah!

Plus, why do they think all Gameshow watchers are overweight, have bad health, are close to death, or are over 60? Great advertising targeting for what are essentially fun to watch, college targeted shows..

Holy crap - I hadn't seen that one yet. Watching the commercials there scared me, I mean showing that the H3 is the love child of two monsters?!?!

Yeah, the problem there is, Hummer is trying to sell their monstrosity to the "average consumer" when the problem is, there's only a certain type of person who actually BUYS one of these damn things. That's what really irks me about the commercials. And the problem there is, more average consumers ARE going to buy them because of these commercials

I guess it would be like BOSE trying to infiltrate Wal-Mart by making the average Joe think they need a BOSE system...or somehow making them believe it's 'cool' to own such crap.

I second you, Chris on the Don LaFontaine, namely because he is using movie trailer voiceover lingo, and it actually sounds cool.

"Payback was coming!" [or something like that]
"I got a check in two days."

Back to highly annoying, ANYTHING with those goddamned Spice Girls rejects in those Fanta ads. Gads, I thought I only had to suffer with those stupid, no talent little hussies ONLY when I have to sit through movie theater commercials, but NOOOOO, now I have to watch them shake their neon painted asses and silicone implants at home, too.

Every single one of those new Apple ads. How desperate must a company be to come up with that FUD to sell their product?

I'll also add any car commercial that has to use a digital representation of their car to sell it. Guess the real thing driving on a real road just doesn't work anymore.
