Character right for Oswald the Lucky Rabbit traded back to Disney for... Al Michaels?

In exchange for letting Michaels out of his contract with ABC and ESPN, which are owned by The Walt Disney Co., NBC Universal sold ESPN cable rights to Friday coverage of the next four Ryder Cups, granted ESPN increased usage of Olympic highlights and sold to The Walt Disney Co. the rights to Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, a character in silent cartoons made by Walt Disney from 1927-28.

So, does this mean we may see Oswald cartoons in a future Treasures DVD set, or does Disney simply have the ability to do new projects with the character?

I find it amazing that a conglomerate like ABC/Disney. Was able to get everyone from all the different departments of both companies to work it out. What I mean is. I can understand the exchanging of tv rights for the sports programs. But, how the heck did the Oswald property be in the minds of sports departments on either side?
