Fantastic Four Continuity Glitch?

So I'm watching the new FF disc... Near the end they go to a cutaway of Reed kneeling (to propose). Then, suddenly he's at Sue's eye level again. Then it shows him kneel again. Huh? I listened to the commentary track and Michael Chiklis even points it out, thinking it was a mistake at first and then says that it was a clever way of doing the scene. What the? I still don't get it! Can someone explain this to me? It still looks like a pretty bad editing mistake to me!

i think this is mentnioned in the other thread that mentions 2 different versions.
in the canadian release he just kneelslike a regular human.
in the us release he kneels but his body stretched up so his head is eye level with sue.
is this what your talking about?

that discussion started right around here

You might want to check out the Canada vs U.S. version thread, one of the last pages. This point is discussed. Also in the other FF thread I think.

FWIW, the Canadian DVD does this scene (among others) differently. It has better continuity for the proposal, but you may not like it better. We got the same theatrical movie as you guys, just a different DVD (???)...

I did check that thread after I posted this. Still, I don't see him stretching and kneeling, just kneeling twice. I guess in their tweaking of the editing they ended up with a really bad edit. I'll take a look at it one more time to see if I can make sense of it, but I've probably already watched that part 5 or 6 times.

Looks like the 7th time was the charm. In the second shot of him kneeling you can see that he was indeed stretched and then lowered the rest of his body into position. I am a moron. Feel free to delete this thread so that there in no proof of my stupidity!
