New Home Theater Forum Search for Firefox

I have built a new search function to be used by those members that use Firefox for their browser.

Download this zip file and extract the contents to your Mozilla Firefox > searchplugins directory. Restart Firefox and in your seach box (just to the right of the address box) scroll down the list of the search options. You will noticed a little house with a green door that says Home Theater Forum. From there you can type in a word to search and it will search the forum for that item.

Tony:

Download the .zip file and save it to your computer. Then extract the two files to your Firefox > Searchplugins directory.

Open Firefox and in the search box you should see a little green house. Click on that and put in the subject you want to search for on HTF.

did that twice already.

i only see 1 file and 1 image of a small house.
that opens as an image not as a file.

Just move the .src amd the image into your Firefox>SearchPlugins directory, then restart Firefox. Worked fine for me.

However, there is a way to automatically install these searches just by clicking on a link. Not sure how to do it, but the searches listed on mycroft.mozdev.org all work that way.

Besides HTF, I've added searches for Food Network recipes, Slashdot, Wikipedia, weather.com, Webtender and a few others. It comes in handy.

Tony:

Click here to download the update to this. Just overwrite your current files with these new ones.

I have also added an icon the Computers forum to allow you to download the .zip file for the Firefox search engine.

User the above link to the .zip file. Extract the contents to your Mozilla Firefox/seachpluggins directory and overwrite the hometheaterforum.src and hometheaterforum.gif files. This will update the .src for you and search this site.
