Well, thank God no overlapping discs for "Early Edition".
I'm having the same problem with Numb3rs: Season 3. I had to return my DVD set and get a replacement from Amazon.com. This is the first time with "Numb3rs". The third season of "Lost" was purchased at Wal-Mart for the bonus disc, and because the store is far from my hometown, I had to go on Amazon and order another one. Thankfully, the third season is now on Blu-ray. Now if we can convince CBS to put "Numb3rs" on Blu-ray....

At the top of the Episode Summaries, there is this statement: "Episodic Promos on All Episodes." "All" which is good news for us and especially Chris!
This is something I was hoping "Early Edition" would be getting after hearing "Family Ties" was getting "episodic promos" included on their releases, although they're the syndicated promos.

But I checked those two episodes and there is a promo for "His Girl Thursday" and "The Wall (Part 2)" as well as "The Paper."
So I was right... "The Paper" does indeed have a "Previously on... recap". Thanks, Keith.

The end of end credits go like this: Three Characters / Angelica Films CBS Television Distribution ...and that's it. Back to Main Menu.
Columbia/Tri-Star co-produced "Early Edition", so I'm surprised they dropped their credit at the end of the end credits. I guess that explains the "Some episodes may be edited from their original network versions..." disclaimer. If the music is all there, "The Choice" has the alternate opening credit, the few episodes that originally aired "previously on..." recaps in the first season are intact, and all of the episodes are the full network broadcasts (and not the syndicated versions), why the need for a nondescript disclaimer if there's one studio/company credit missing?

Although there are no other extras besides the promos, for the price and the setup of the discs, I'm happy. And I hope that other studios (including the inconsistent CBS DVD) take note.
Yes, please, CBS DVD and everyone else take note. I do hope in the future we'll get more extras and the only disappointing thing about this first release for me. There are a lot of people who worked on this series over the course of its four seasons, and while some or most are no longer working in the industry when CBS cancelled it, I know they would jump at the chance to be involved in bonus materials, including Kyle Chandler.
