Re: TNA Impact!
The 2 matches you did not like, are the same 2 I did not like. I actually described the Tag match like this. Take that match and put it in a normal cage and its a pretty good match. Add back in all the rest of that stuff and you get what we got. You didn't even mention my biggest problem with it though. So Team 3D finally achieves their goal of winning the NWA tag titles, which they've been chasing since they came to TNA, and which LAX had denied them for so long. So they win the belts, and TNA cuts backstage immediately. Thumbs, down!
There aren't enough hateful words to describe that blindfold match.
But, pretending those 2 matches didn't happen, you had an otherwise good show.
*The opener was great, everyone looked good especially when Shelley and Sabin were doubleteaming. Black Machismo is now my favorite thing ever in TNA.
*Robert Roode looked better than he has in forever, even though I still don't understand why people see him as a future star.
*Gail and Jackie was a pretty good match, which didn't surprise me as their brawls have also been good.
*Austin Starr and Senshi. I thought this was a solid match, the 4th solid match in a row. The streak went up in flames with the blindfold match.
*Jerry Lynn Vs. Christopher Daniels wasn't what you'd expect out of Daniels but that's ok because this is supposed to be a new Daniels. I felt bad for these men because they were working hard to get the crowd back after the prior disaster. They got them by the end so what they did worked to a degree.
*The main event, I thought this was tremendous. It isn't for everyone though as I've heard lots of criticism of the match as a whole. However, Thi said it best...Frankensteiner! Seriously, I never ever expected this to ever happen.
So, you had 2 terrible matches, 2 pretty good matches, and the rest was solid. Plus, Samoa Joe in particular cut a nice promo on this show. Add to that the fact that the crowd in St. Louis didn't make me want to take a chainsaw to my ears like the Orlando crowd does from time to time, and I'm glad I watched it.
