TNA Impact! - Page 5

Which store did you get it from? Also it could very well be that TNA has finally learned what a dual layer disc is as most of their previous DVDs have been single layer discs.

I also really enjoyed the episode. Nice variety.

So what does "Hail Sabin" mean? I don't get it and think it sounds lame for his music.

I thought the point of the Killings/Roode match was to give Killings a push but then Roode won the final match. 2 quick wins outta 3 ain't bad, though.

Joe talks very well but his delivery and sound doesn't fit his image.

It looked to me like Sting has short hair now.

The X-Division match is the most energetic match I've seen in a long time.

Hail Sabin sounds a lot like Hail Satan, and I believe that's the point.

Impact did another 0.9 on Saturday which is a strong number. The replay Monday did a 0.4. One of these weeks they'll bust through to 1.0 on Saturday, I can just sense it.

I didn't see Sting anywhere. Did I miss something?

There was just a brief glimpse of it during the PPV video promo.

Impact was good last night, I liked the BG James promo.

Looking forward to the PPV tonight.
Yes, the PPV should be good.

Something worries me. Now that Sting has joined TNA, he's obviously going to be a contender for the TNA title. I'm worried that they're going to concentrate on Sting getting that title and forget all about Christian. What do you guys think?
The show was alright. Nothing for me to comment on. I'm going to skip tonight's PPV.

Andres, you don't have anything to worry about. Christian will have his title by the end of the year, mark it down.

My first wrestling PPV ever and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Sting arriving was interesting ... I have to say that next to Flair, Sting is my favorite wrestler of all time. He looked good and put on a fun show with Christian. Looked like he was going to talk to the crowd when the show ended ... would have been interested to hear what he had to say and you could definitely tell he was out of breath big time.

I am curious about one of his mannerisms though ... he kept doing the "Scott Hall" pointing thing (don't know any other way to describe it but Scott did it enough in the NWO that I'm sure someone will know what I am talking about). I had never seen him do that and was wondering what was up with that?

When is someone gonna kick the s..t out of Samoa Joe? The guy is fun to watch but now it's getting old.

Being that I am only 2 hours down the road from Orlando now, I might actually have to take one of these shows in some day. Anyone know the cost for the live events?
I skimmed the results and it seemed like this PPV wasn't good.

Sting did that pointing thing in WCW quite a bit. I think he picked it up when he was in the NWO Wolfpack.

All of TNA events at Universal are totally free. You just have to make sure to get there early. I read that hundreds were turned away for this PPV.

As T said, its totally free but I guess it would probably technically cost you admission to Universal Studios. My friends and I are thinking of saving some money and possibly trying to go down to one this year, we'd like to go to Lockdown in April for the all-cage PPV.

My thoughts on the show:
*I loved the Joe/Daniels match. Good psychology with Joe working on the head because of the concussion. Easily ****1/4.

*Sting looked good tonight, but I could live without the Jarrett silliness of overbooked main events.

*The finish to the 3D match was hella-creative but I never want to see it again. I am in the camp that feels that it was a good idea to keep the belts on AMW for now, the money is in the 3D chase.

*way too damn much interference on this show.

*Styles/Tanahashi was alright, but AJ's usual standards means that alright is not really that good. Probably a **3/4 match.

*I like the James Gang and LAX a hell of a lot more than I ever liked the 3LK.

*It will be interesting to see where things go from here for Raven, AJ Styles/Samoa Joe/Christopher Daniels based on the finish to the X-title match tonight, and for Ron Killings as well.

I think Sting/Jarrett headlines Against All Odds and I'm fine with this. You've got to strike while the iron is hot for Sting, Christian will have his program with Jarrett for the belt soon enough, Sting's shelf life is shorter.

I'm pretty sure you don't have to pay for admission.

Speaking of Sting and "Christian"...did any of you catch the TBN Praise The Lord program this past Thursday? It was the one where Sting--or should I say, Steve Borden--interviewed HBK and Vince Russo. Interesting interviews, although a lot of the stuff that was discussed by Shawn and Vince was stuff that many of you probably already heard/read about. What I found interesting was the video montage promoting Russo's "Ring Of Glory" promotion--most of the montage was made up of clips from TNA, with a few WCW ones sprinkled in (I could tell that there was at least one WCW clip in it because it showed the "Crow" Sting in it). Interesting in that Vince would need to use clips from other promotions in order to promote his own...but then again, what do I know? The one segment about the HBK interview that caught me was where HBK mentioned about finally "waking up and smelling the coffee" (my quote) as far as finally deciding to receive Jesus when one day he woke up from one of his stupors (don't remember if he was like that from being drunk or from drugs) and hearing his little son telling him that he must have been sleeping because he was so tired from wrestling.

Steve also interviewed his brother, who happens to be his pastor; although his bro appears a bit older (and also a bit shorter and more stockier) than Steve, in reality he's Steve's younger brother.

During the PPV, Christian referred to Chris Jericho as his brother. They're not related in real life, are they?

Bad news. TNA was planning to have a live special next month on the Monday when Raw is preempted by the dog show but Spike doesn't want to do it for whatever reason.

Impact finally made it over a 1.0 rating this past episode.

It sucks that this past Impact and PPV were the most watched ever but they weren't representative of the best of TNA so that the new viewers would be more likely to watch again.

There're rumours that Spike is gonna give Impact new timeslot, namely Thursday at 8:00.

Man, I hope not. There's just too much competition on Thursdays.

By the way, I only caught the last few minutes of Impact. Why was Sting saying goodbye? He's not really leaving is he?
He's signed for a year so it's just part of an angle.

It's confirmed (and yeah, this post is probably a little too late for some of you "wrestling insider-type" posters--LOL!!)--TNA will be on Thursdays at 9 PM starting 4/13.
That's just great! I really wished TNA had a show on the Monday when Raw is preempted by the dog show, though. It would be interesting to see what rating it would get in the best timeslot possible for wrestling. I have the NBC comedies to watch on Thursdays and Dancing with the Stars but the latter will be gone soon.

I guess that's good for TNA but they're going to lose me. There are just too many shows already that I watch on Thursdays. Damn that sucks.
The replay is scheduled for the current timeslot that Impact is on.

Christian is the new champion. Let's see how long it lasts. I didn't like the match very match. It was overbooked and the two just didn't work well together. I really can't remember Christian's matches in WWE other than his tag and specialty ones, but in TNA he doesn't seem to be as good as he should be. It was an awesome and crazy sight to see all those fans in the ring.

The three-way X division match was the best of the night. I don't think it was as good as their match before. Joe just looks unbeatable.

Rhino and Abyss had the second best match of the night. You can always count on Abyss to deliver at the PPVs. I think Rhino would make a better champ than Christian. He's really turned it up on the mic and in the ring since being in TNA.

A month worth of computer problems are behind me, and so I'm back.

1. Christian and Jericho are not related, neither are Christian and Edge.

2. The title match at AAO was good, and it was not overbooked, especially when it is compared to other Jeff Jarrett matches. It was easily ***1/2 and I could argue for higher.

3. Sting will be back in April, TNA has the whole year mapped out for him.

4. The reason Spike didn't want to run a monday night special was because they were afraid that it would not do a good rating and it would set back the groth of TNA. That probably doesn't make sense to you or I, but that was their reasoning.

5. Styles/Joe/Daniels was awesome ****1/2 or better. Abyss/Rhino was good as was AMW/Dutt-Sabin

6. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Joe/Daniels/AJ in Ultimate X next Month and in a cage at Lockdown.

7. Christian should have a lengthy title reign.

I thought you were gone for good. Good to have you back here, Casey.

Some bad news for TNA, or at least the fans, Aries and Strong got a big suspension. I think it's a big mistake.

Where did this come from, and for what? They're both pretty damn good.
