So do we know why Lamb acted so strangely when he let VM go after getting caught in Meg's family's house in the middle of the season?
My guess is he stayed behind to blackmail the Mannings in the same way he blackmailed Terrence Cook.

I think it would make more sense for him to do it before he makes the call.

If my calculations are correct, the chlamydia could have spread all the way to Duncan's kid.

Re: Veronica Mars Season 2

Even though we didn't see any bodies, we know they can't pull a fast one with the deaths of Aaron and Beaver since dialog made it clear that they were found. But, what about Woody? Is it remotely possible he wasn't on the plane? It seems unlikely, but you never know.

I assume Cameron's question is, why unplug it after and not before? Something's being set up there.

Re: Veronica Mars Season 2

You guys are probably right. After tonight's episode nothing would surprise me.

I loved how EVERYONE was in tonight's episode. Veronica's mom, Lily, Duncan... it was cool.

Calculations, huh? What kind of calculations would give you that result?
Anyway, Meg spent the last few weeks of her life in the hospital, they would have found her chlamydia and treated both her and the baby.

Re: Veronica Mars Season 2

Just realized, that's probably my last time to watch UPN ever. Thursday will be my last time on the WB. It's all CW from here.

Re: Veronica Mars Season 2

Another question just occured to me -- what was with the explosives Veronica found in Terrance and Woody's hangar? Was Beaver trying to frame Terrance and or Woody, or maybe he was hiding the murder weapon right under his intended target's nose?

Re: Veronica Mars Season 2

BRAVO! That was one hell of a season finale. The last 20 minutes or so really kept my stomach tied in knots. They did a great job of wrapping up the season's mystery arc while leaving me wanting more. This is going to be a long summer waiting for season 3 to begin.

As far as the security camera that Clarence was fiddling with, it looked to me like he was pulling something off of the lens after he shot Aaron. Of course it happened so quickly that I could be wrong.

Re: Veronica Mars Season 2

Well, I guess VM didn't get valedictorian, so no scholarship for her, so she might have to hang out at Hearst College.

Re: Veronica Mars Season 2

Holadem likes seeing V taken down a peg, but hopefully, her being completely grief-stricken over her father's death was farther than even he wants it to go. I was pretty sure Keith was okay, but I felt really bad for her.

I loved the dialogue, "The CW deal is a go."
Enjoyed the episode and intersting little cliffhanger there.

Re: Veronica Mars Season 2

Veronica's alterna-dream was the best scene of the season on any show as far as I'm concerned. I really enjoyed that, culminating with Lily's return.

Who the fuck is Sally?

I guess Kendall/Priscilla's brief case contains the same thing as Samuel L. Jackson's in Pulp Fiction?

Brilliant finale. Redeemed an up-and-down season.

I sure hope there's a season 3. If there isn't, I'll end up cowering in a corner like Mac.

Re: Veronica Mars Season 2

Well, my sister had been harping on about her theory that Beaver was behind the bombing since mid-season. I dismissed it. "It's not him," I said, "because for it to have been him he'd have had to be showing a lot more remorse - unless he's a total psycho, and the show is too smart for that." Ugh. Guess I was wrong.

So why did Beaver put the rat on the bus? Would he have cared if the rich kids (esp. his brother) were on it? Hmm.

Who's the idiot that clearly mistook the Season 1 thread for the Season 2 thread...this guy! I'm too ashamed to even post my affection for the season finalie of Veronica Mars

A pretext to get off. If he's the only one who doesn't take the bus home, it looks suspicious, but if the others decide to call a limo, no-one thinks of suspecting him.

I think you saw it wrong. He was not unplugging the camera, he was pulling a piece of black tape off of the lens, IIRC.

Okay, that's reasonable. But why not blow up the mayor instead of the bus, given how easily he achieved that in this episode (and how poor the mayor's home security was)?

Beaver was protecting his "secret" at all costs. The mayor was far from threatening to reveal it, so he did not have to die until the possibility of a trial or confession presented itself. In the meantime, Beaver was manipulating Mayor Woody and his incorporation plan through anonymous intimidation in order to make a fortune in real estate via the company that Kendall was fronting.

Re: Veronica Mars Season 2

It was definitely a clever plan, but seemed slightly deus-ex-machina to me. Still, you can't beat how chilling it was when the Beav offed himself.

When was that said? I don't remember that.

After posting in here last night I went back and watched that scene again and I have to agree. That's what I saw too when I rewatched it.

Re: Veronica Mars Season 2

Does anybody else think the season finale should ahve been 2 hours? They cramed so much into such a short time. I would have loved to see a bunch of scenes expanded to show the character's emotions better.

Well yeah, but I wish every episode was 2 hours...

Regarding the "the CW deal is a go" quote:

Quote:

It was right after the killing of Aaron:

Duncan Kane as he answers phone: "CW?"
Clarence: "The deal is done."

I missed it first time around too...

Nah. If you want bloat, ABC's going nutty across the dial. Aside from how making the finale two hours would have meant losing an hour earlier in the season, this was all about putting the audience on the edge of their seats and ending on a high note. Next fall, there will be plenty of time to see how Veronica, Logan, et al adapt to the new status quo, but right now, they're looking to see how the characters act, not reflect.

Re: Veronica Mars Season 2

Last season's finale was a flurry of activity too. It's just Rob Thomas' way I guess.

The "CW?" "It's a done deal." was fun, but totally unnecessary to the plot when you think about it. Aaron's murder would be news world-wide. And Duncan, why are you at the beach in the winter?

I've been informed that it's 80 degrees in Perth today, and "Not Pictured" takes place a little lesss than a month from now (I spotted a "June 3" on one of the phones). I'm guessing that Duncan's on the North shore of Oz, which has got to be fairly close to tropical.

I'm kind of surprised that Veronica and Logan weren't being questioned by Lamb & company before she left town. Dead kid, certainly Aaron's body was discovered the next day, and Veronica and Logan are going to be people of interest in that one. I almost expect that that's what Kendall/Patty was bringing to Keith - some sort of evidence that implicated Veronica more directly in Cassidy's death: It's something he'd drop everything for and would try to keep her from getting involved in, hence the lack of notice.

We don't know how much time ellapsed from the rooftop showdown to the plane trip -- less than a week, since Keith said at graduation that they were going on Tuesday. Lamb could've questioned them and let them off in that time.

I think it's Cliff's briefcase -- we never found out what happened to it, and the man who hired the prostitute was Aaron's cellmate, so something is up.

That makes sense. It's unlike Rob Thomas to just drop something like that. I think you're right!
