Is anyone else having troubles with the Portal page and Firefox?
On two different machines (XP Pro, SP-1, and XP Pro, SP-2) and two different version of Firefox (1.0.6 and 1.0.1 or so) the main portal page will cause fatal crashes.
In general, it's about as the first 'page' of frames and boxes has appeared, but still haven't been filled in; the whole Firefox process gets locked up. Generally, the OS'll recognize that the process has gone down in flames, but sometimes not.
I can direct-link to a forum, and never have any trouble at the forum level; it just seems to be the portal page.
And as a side note, I am running Adblock and Flashblock. Also, both computers are behind firewalls, if that makes any difference (it shouldn't.)
(Note, I generally type in "hometheaterforum.com" and let it follow any of the auto-redirects - until recently, where I've got a "http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htforum/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=51" in the address buffer.)
As a side note, it strikes me as a little odd that the forums are buried so far down on the portal page.. almost like Gudot or Guffman, Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
