Question about searching this forum

This evening I wanted to access a thread on Technicolor Musicals I had started several months ago (a relatively recent thread). This is the thread:

I was unable to find it by using the search function at the top of the forum page. I searched on "technicolor", "Technicolor", "musicals", "Musicals", and "Technicolor Musicals", specifying title only and slowest search possible.

I finally found it by using the advanced search function page and specifying my user name as the search criteria. It is more convenient to use the search function at the top of the page, but it seems to omit some results. What might I be doing incorrectly when using the search function at the top of the page?

P.S. I see that a mod has moved this question. Just a reminder that to attempt to duplicate my results (apparent failure of "search THIS forum") function, one must invoke the search function from the forum in which the target thread actually exists. That would be here:

What do you mean by the search function on top of the forum page? The Google search? I tried to copy your results using the forum search function (the Google search came up with a zillion threads, undoubtedly containing the word Technicolor inside their texts) and chose "search titles only" and "slowest search". Your thread came up fine.

To clarify:
1) I go to "HT Software - Film and Documentary"
2) I go to the top of the page where there is a search function that says "Search this forum:"
3) I type "Technicolor" into the text box.
4) I select the "Title Only" radio button.
5) I select "Slowest Search(All possible results)".
6) I click on the "Go" button.
7) I receive 3 threads in my returned results:
"Technicolor Criterion releases"
"Technicolor Films on DVD"
"Archaeology -Part Two -A Technicolor CORRECTION"

My thread does not appear in the results displayed to me.

I have repeated this at least 10 times, over a few weeks (and just again now, as I compose this reply), with identical results each time.

It's a mystery to me.

If I use advanced search, and search on my user name, my threads come up in my results.

???

You're right. It doesn't show up.

However, it does show up if you use the search function from the bar, either search 'all forums' or the 'ht Software, etc. Forum'. Not necessary to enter your name as a criterium as well.

But, indeed, it looks like an error that you cannot find it through the other search.
