Rich spoke about how he identified with Slacker and other Linklater films, well, seeing as how I worked in a gas station/convenience store in college, I pretty much couldn't help but love Clerks. I generally like his sense of humor and the freedom of sexual expression present in his films.
*1. Clerks - A- (very rough around the edges, but with the best jokes and payoff)
2. Red State - A-
*3. Chasing Amy - B+
4. Jersey Girl - B+ (Tugged my Daddy strings)
*5. Mallrats - B+ (What can I say? I find it funny)
6. Zack and Miri Make a Porno - B
*7. Dogma - B- (He tried to create a challenging film and there are some solid ideas here, but it is so over the map that while I really like certain sections, others are a chore)
8. Clerks II - C+
9. Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back - C+ (Quitting while you're ahead is obviously not a concept Smith is familiar with)
Own: 4 (I don't know if I would own this many if I was buying them today. Certainly not Dogma.)
