Also, still no mention of characters from Season 1 in these episodes.

I don't remember them mentioning the Season 1 characters much (if at all). Remember, it had been something like 3 or 4 years between the end of the CBS series and the beginning of the Showtime episodes. They probably didn't want to confuse viewers by bringing up secondary characters who were off contract and not scheduled to appear on the new series.

Says on the back of the Season 2  box that some episodes are not complete and unedited as they could not be sourced.

Exactly which episodes are those?

Looks like the release of this series has stalled. When SHOUT! released season 2 I thought we would get the whole series. Doesn't look like it's going to happen!

It would be too bad that it was stalled. There was only about 18 epsiodes for S3 and S4. I am wondering if the quality of the footage turned people off. In either case it would be nice if this show could be completed. Nothing worst that seeing a show with only 1 and/or 2 season left to be released.

It could be if people buy it. Room 222, another great school show is also stalled. That's the said thing about intelligently written shows, they don't sell as there aren't that many intelligent people. The more moronic a show is, the bigger your audience, as there are far more morons than bright people.

It is sad that happens. I like my thinking shows along with well written shows. That is why i have stay with my roots and like classic tv.

I was born in 1968, so, I miss many of the 1960s shows. However, thanks to dvd then i get to see them like voyage to bottom of the sea, outerlimits, Thriller, Sherlock Holmes, etc.
