What a unique talent eh? Loved "Edward Scissorhands", "Beetlejuice" and Tim Burton's two twisted "Batman" movies. Wasn't that crazy about "Big Fish" or "Corpse Bride" though. If "Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas" was included it would merit and placed at no.6 in my rankings.

I too was confused by the exclusion of Nightmare Before Xmas. I didn't realize that Burton didn't direct it. :b

Tim Burton has a very vivid imagination and a remarkably original vision (not too far removed from Terry Gilliam's) so I don't know why he's lately taken to wasting his talents in remaking or sending up other people's films; let's just hope that CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY (2005) is an improvement on the catastrophic PLANET OF THE APES - although with my current favorite actor Johnny Depp rather than (for cryin' out loud) Mark Wahlberg in the lead, I'd say that's a cinch!
