Adam-12? - Page 3

Rick,

I'm with you on that (entire series). And I have trepidation whenever I put in a season one (double-sided) disc. So far, so good. But I'm fairly sure it will eventually not work. I hope Shout! distributes the first season once they're done with the other six.

Gear mentioned in this thread:

Me too, I'd love to get a good copy of season 1.

Hopefully Shout acquires the rights and does a Shout Select release for it (I doubt with the existing Universal set available that there would be enough demand to justify a retail release of it).

I'm holding back on getting Season 1 because of the higher cost for a new copy sold by Amazon.com. That would be helpful if Shout! were to re-release Season 1 on single-sided discs, even if it was a Shout! Select title (higher price for Shout! Select titles).

I've got the Universal set s1 of Adam 12 and its a decent set. I never had a issue with the flipper disks with my dvd players the video and audio is good ,it also has CC which some of shout season sets lack. I pulled out the s1 set and watch a few episodes off the set and the disks are hold up well. Yes I would like to see shout re issue s1 on single side disks because the Universal set is get scarce and pricey. Here another link http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Adam-12-Season-6/16041 with a more firm date I've put in my pre order today with Amazon , it will be a nice happy new year gift for me next january:)

On Amazon.com is a DVD pre-order listing page for Adam-12: Season Six (however, the release date given on there is January 17th, 2012, and not January 10th as mentioned in TVShowsOnDVD's most recent news article about the sixth season on Region 1).

Yes true but with the long delay since s5 and shout went silent on adam 12 I thought adam 12 was going to be "Ironsided" by shout. So fairly solid January 2012 release date is good news.

The difference in releases given in the TVShowsOnDVD news article and Amazon.com's DVD pre-order listing page is a week. I was being specific, rather than saying any time in January.

Well to have two great signature Universal shows of the early 70s completed on DVD on the same day (Adam-12 and Night Gallery) is terrific news. Now let's see if Shout might FINALLY get off their rear ends regarding Ironside? That remains the biggest piece of unfinished business from them as far as I'm concerned (giving Marcus Welby MD another chance wouldn't hurt either).

I have watched a few episodes of S7 for Adam-12, especially the last episode. The last episode was neat, especially wth Reed's going under covered and receiving an award for saving Milloy's life.

I am so glad that i have S1-S7 of Adam-12 as Adam-12 was one of my favourite show as kid. I was also under the impressed the police foces also used the show as part of their training.
