I hadn't seen it mentioned here, but thought I would let everyone know that there is an excellent, special edition DVD of Gillian Armstrong's excellent 1982 new wave musical STAR STRUCK available on R4 DVD. It was released last summer.
Great widescreen transfer (although a bit scratchy in a couple places). An almost hour long interview with Armstrong and the producers about the making of the film, another ten minute interview with the screenwriter, ten minutes of deleted and extended scenes, a segment from an Australian TV show with the star performing a song from the film, and trailers. A great disc.
Amazon and Barnes and Noble have listed a R1 DVD version by a company called "Jef Films". Having bought this, it is most likely a bootleg. Terrible full frame transfer, poorly placed chapter stops, no extras other than very odd and disgusting trailers for the companies other shot on video horror films, not worth picking up.
Anyway, great disc. Thought I'd mention it.
