Heh. I believe ShoPro or Viz licensed Hikaru no Go but it still seems up in the air XD. Would love to hear it is gonna be released.
Anyhow, I am eagerly awaiting the release of Jubei Chan 2 here in the US (later this month or maybe early June, as Jubei-chan: Secret of the Lovely Eyepatch had great action and comedy. What I've seen of Jubei Chan 2 is just awesome, with truly kick ass action (sword action. Not as gritty as Peacemaker Kurogane, but still quite good.. great editing.) and Freasha is just so darned cute....
/lolicon mode >_<;;
Not much going on but got some manga and a book.
Manga I got last nite are:
A.I. Love You 6-8 (finishes off this series.)
Ranma 1/2 30 (This series is like the Energizer bunny for Viz. It keeps going and going and...)
Samurai Deeper Kyo 10-12
Battle Vixens 7 (yes, it's an awful translation. But I started it so dagnabbit, I'll finish it! It's like 8 or 10 vols altogether so almost done...)
Negima 4-5 - now I am interested again due to my liking of AI Love You.
/starting politics and real life stuff...
(put in spoiler box as it isn't related to anime at all....)
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
The book (non anime related) *gasps* that I got was A Sense of Duty, by Quang Pham. Basically tells the history and story of father and son and how they served their respective countries ( His father was an officer in the S. Vietnamese Air Force while his son served in Iraq War 1 as a Marine.) Sadly, his father got his family out but was captured by N. Vietnamese army and sent to labor/concentration camps for the next 20+ years. The father was finally released and brought back to the US, where he died.
The main reason for my interest in this are:
1. This might have been me if I had stayed in ROTC. I might have even been to the current war in either Afghanistan and/or Iraq.
2. The story of someone whose been both in the military and was on teh receiving end of the consequences of war in Nam and Iraq.
3. Reading a story about a fellow immigrant never gets old.
