DVD Reviews Archive Threads Don't Work W/Search?

Is it related to the recent problems?

Also, what exactly is the procedure now regarding official DVD review threads, i.e. how long before they're moved, etc.?

Hi, Brett!

I'll let Parker answer the first question.

As for the second...

I move all the reviews to the archives 30 days
after their initial posting.

Brett:

What do you mean when you they don't work with the search?

Nothing in the DVD Reviews Archive comes up for me with the search function. I just went and tried it again with "incredibles" and "fargo". Tons of threads from other forums but no threads from the DVD Reviews Archive forum.

Edit to say, hi Ron and hello to you too Packy. :-)

I typed in Fargo and then searched all open forums with the slowest possible search and came up with the review in the archives listed. The same for using Incredibles. It may be that you aren't searching back far enough by date and are using the fastest search.

Any search to use is the Google search at the top of the search page if you don't find something the first time around.

Just to make it clear, I search all open forums, leave the date thing on the default which is "any date" and use the slowest search possible.

I guess it just isn't going to work for me for some reason. I'm trying here at work now (IE6 XP Pro) and it's not working. I tried some others that should have come up; 'heroes', 'trek', etc. I got 17 pages worth on 'trek' but the official review from the DVD Reviews Archive was not among them.

Same here. Search does not work for me for review archives. Just out of curiosity, I even went to the review archive section and searched for something that I saw on the page, and search turned up no results under the review archives section.

I don’t know but a month is too short. Moving an official thread to the archive section just kills it. People don’t participate in it as much as before. I was thinking of a 6 months delay maybe or some kind of a link in the original forum. A link that always stays in the original forum and whenever someone replies, it comes up in the original forum but the physical place of the post remains in the archive forum.
