amazon(.ca) pricing volatility

i don't usually order from amazon.ca but i recently ordered the King of Queens S3 as it wasn't available at the retail level here, and i ordered Hoosiers as well for 20.99 to get the req for free shipping; i recently checked the Hoosiers price and it's at $27 now! so i feel lucky.

anyways, is there a general trend to amazon pricing for things to go up? or do they occasionally go down? just wondering.

I find a lot of prices going up at amazon.ca, especially after the pre-order date passes. The Sherlock Holmes(Basil Rathbone) series took a big jump after pre-order. When I order from amazon, I always check the Canadian and U.S. site and often the better deal is on the U.S. site.
