I just tried a search from the actual search page:
http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htforum/search.php
Here are the results it returned:
http://tinyurl.com/6o7aa
It did include the official thread:
http://tinyurl.com/5vmq5
Don't know why your search wouldn't work, but at least that should get you to the thread you're looking for!

You're right...I searched above for posts too, not just titles.
Just now, I tried several different methods of searching titles only, and you're right...ALL those searches returned only 4 threads (the same 4 eash time), and the official thread was NOT included.
Strange.

Sounds like what used to be my standard search advice -- until Parker changed the search engine in an effort to get us faster searching. :b
We're still figuring out the quirks of the new engine; so please keep reporting these oddities. Parker has already done a lot of tweaking based on feedback from the HTF staff, but more information is always helpful.
M.
actually this isn't the first time a [title only] search has missed an Official thread for me... maybe it's because the Official thread titlea are so long? i dunno. i guess not doing [title only] helps when the keyword is not common (like "aviator") when you're looking for an official thread.

I have had the same problem a few times recently. Searches in title only, slowest search, for: The Village, and for Classic Comedies, gave results that did not include the official threads.
