This has been bugging me for a while. Does anyone know the name of the crossover between two circle graphs?

Like this:

What is the name for the interlocking area?

Thanks.

If you're talking about Venn diagrams, with the circles representing sets, then the interlocking area would be the intersection of the two sets.

I believe you might be looking for the term Venn diagram, but I could be wrong.

EDIT: Doh! Didn't see Haggai mention this in the other post. Sorry

Another term for this (not Math related) is Sphere of Influence. It generally denotes how much control (or influence) one entity exerts over another.

Wow, I didn't think it would be as simple as intersection. I'd asked a few people, and had gotten answers like ellipse and mandelero, which describe the shape.

Thanks a lot.
