My wife and I are having dinner at the neighbor's house.

We've never been there over the holidays (we own a condo in North Myrtle Beach), but there should be some activity at Broadway on the Beach or Barefoot Landing. I'm not sure about public transportation, though, since we always rent a car.

I'll be working for about the 6th NYE in a row. I don't mind. It's better than being on the road and it pays about $2 a minute.

I was thinking about taking off last year and spending NYE in Vegas. I thought that The Fremont Street Experience would be the place to go for the big moment. Unless there's a really great spot on the Strip? Other than maybe the Bellagio fountain, that area just seems too spread out for a New Year's countdown.

I'll be attending a wedding and reception in Washington, DC (I live in the Chicago area) with my wife, daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter. We're making a long weekend of it, and I'm looking forward to it.

No wild parties here. We're having my wife's parents and her sister's family over New Years Eve to spend the night. We'll go out to dinner early and spend the evening playing cards and games while the kids occupy themselves with the 360 and Wii. Then we'll watch Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve and watch the ball drop.

Working, it turns out. New Year's Eve was never a big deal for me, but I had BIG plans this year that I had to cancel. The worst part of it is that I work in Manhattan, and I'll be getting out of work around the same time everyone is coming home from Times Square. I had to face that nightmare once back in the 80s, and I swore I would never be in New York City on New Year's Eve ever again because it was so hard to get home that night. Oh well...

Posh hotel room downtown with the wife. Dinner reservations with 8 other friends to ring in the New Year. All within a block of the hotel so no need to drive anywhere.

Need to celebrate our "first" New Year. We've been together over 3 years, living together for two of them, yet now that we are married I've been told this is our "first" Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, etc.

Wife and I are enjoying the evening together, watching movies and Mythbusters! We had a lot of people in and out over Christmas, and are planning to have a quiet New Year's Eve.

Tomorrow, her sister will be flying back into town, and it will be Gators all afternoon.

Having a soiree with a few friends at my house. Appetizers, desserts, games and watch the ball drop. I've got the Derby Pie baked and fresh whipped cream, so I'm ready to finish off the year!

Just got home from dinner and fireworks. After the show, an old guy hijacked a city bus and got us all back to where we were parked at the YMCA. Pretty fun time.

We watched a few dvd's then at midnight went outside and wondered how many thousands of dollars crazy people spend on fireworks in my town, the smoke from them was like fog. Never understood that, spending hundreds of dollars for fireworks, especially when our town does a big show at midnight too which is FREE...?
