There are two segments from The Biskitts from 1983 ("as the worm turns" and "trouble in the tunnel")
on the Dvd set "Saturday Morning Cartoon 1980s, but that's all i've seen listed for that show.

http://www.amazon.com/Saturday-Morning-Cartoons-1980s-Vol/dp/B0037XPPAW

(btw, ignore the fact it says "vol.1" - it's the only volume released so far, no word on future volumes)

So far, Chuck Norris, Thundarr, Dragon's Lair, and Mr. T have seen sets on dvd released since they were
also included in the 80s DVD collection.

I suppose there is hope that shows included on the 60, 70s, and 80s Saturday Morning Cartoons DVD
collections are more likely to see additional releases from the Warner Archive Collection in the future.
I'm really hoping for a complete Goldie Gold & Action Jack set!

Over at Warner Archive Facebook page, someone from Chile asked about more "Real Adventures of Jonny Quest" and this is their response:

WAC: WAC will be embracing QUESTWORLD in the near future.

Next time you're inquiring over there, can you ask about Captain Caveman?

thanks! Grant

They have stated within the last couple of weeks that it will be released but it is not in the pipeline at the moment.

I thought Captain Caveman episodes were like 8 minutes in length. It was neat watching the episodes as they were far quicker in solving then other mysteries.

Anybody knows who owns the rights to Emergency +4 or the Hardy Boys Cartoon from the late 1960s?

They are about 11 minutes each, I think.

I really prefer to watch shorts within the context of the block shows,
and not a bunch of the same show back to back. For example,
other than Scooby's All Star Laff-a-Lympics, other shows like
the All new Superfriends Hour, and Richie Rich/Scooby Doo hour
are good ones that mix a number of shorts together that makes
great viewing that I really like more than just watching shorts.

There is a contest on Hanna Barbera page, the first season of Pac man. Does anyone know something about Jane of the jungle?

No, Pac-Man became available on Tuesday and the waiting begins to hear about the next H-B set.

That's one i'd love to hear about.
It would be fantastic if they could actually include
The Godzilla Power Hour opening as an extra feature.
Anyone at HB listening???? smile.gif

It would be great if they could finish Godzilla.

The releases stopped after the first season, was that due to bad sales or could they only get the rights to the first few? I didn;t even realise the show had seasons until I looked it up. Here in the UK it was broadcast as one continuous. stand-alone show several times and never in conjunction with anything else

It's annoying it's been available complete streamed but the DVD releases dried up

Yes, in region 1 they released 3 volumes that have the first 13 season 1 epsodes.
I bought them all as they came out. I think I remember some delays with the 3rd disc,
and i feared that one was going to get cancelled, but it made it.
Another example of a show that bugs me they chose to do this as the syndicated show
instead of doing a 1 hour "power-hour" version.

IIRC Classic Media released those. Pretty sure the various elements of the show are owned by different companies now, which would prevent the series from being released in its original format.

It has been very quiet time for Warners Brothers Archive, especially on HB releases. It is February 13, 2012 and there has been little in announcements for HB shows other than Pacman. I was hoping to hear what is next for the 1960s and 1970s cartoons, especially in lieu WB was doing survey or has mention items are in the pipeline.

I remember in 2011 there were many announcements, especially with the release of jabberjaw , speed buggy, funky phantom, goober and the ghost chaser, valley of the dinosaurs, herculoids, etc. There has been noting of real value for 2012 and that is what is frustrating me around the releases. I did see voting for shows like clue club or roman hollidays, etc. However, i have not seen anything tangible on the releases, especially when last year they had plan to released the new adventures of gilligan. I was so looking forward to the new adventures of gilligan as i am a huge gilligan island fan and have the S1-S3 of the show on dvd!! I have one of the movies as well, but it is poor quality. I am still hoping that all the gilligan relates movies, cartoons, etc are released on dvd!!

Yes it has been quiet.  I notice on the Warner archives page on Facebook many of the comments left are from fans of HB and other Warner animation asking when this or that is coming out.  I'm sure the lull isn't from a lack of interest for sure.

Come on Warner's bring on the releases already!

I totally agree with your comments and i was hoping that after the surveys were done that we would have a clear picture, especially in lieu roman holidays or clue club, etc were listed. If WB releases say in April then i will not be able to order the sets until june. There is always a 2 month lag time between the USA and Canada.

I think something will come out before the titles from that last pole,
because on Facebook they said that certain shows weren't listed in
the on-line pole because they're already being worked on.

"Heidi's Song" is an H-B feature length film that was released in theaters around 1980.

I would have to agree with your post. It is beginning of march and if a release was done then it would be april and in some cases would show up on amazon.ca or amazon.com by june. This is another frustrating year from WB as it relates to HB. I am starting to wonder if the originals are taking more work to fixed them up and that is why there is a delay. It would have been nice if WB would be trutful on what is happening with the release as it was a month or so ago that they did these online surveys, i.e. clue club, roman holidays, etc and mention that other sets are already in the works.

i am happy that they released so many in the past, but disappointed that they have not had a consistent approach to bringing the shows to dvd.

Pacman was the last release about a month ago. The last few releases have
been focused on 80's titles that I guess don't have as much interest for those
who post regularly here about the frustration of the lack of 60s and 70's shows
lately.

Looking back to the fall of 2010 when the Warner Archive program was starting,
and seeing multiple titles being released almost weekly, it set the bar a bit high
for fans expectations that the titles would keep coming that fast.

Given the assumption that all the titles in their vaults are eventually coming out,
it's hard for the true early HB fan to reconcile the intention to release everything
on the one hand, with the fact that it seems like nothing of interest has come out
in almost a year.
