I hope I'm wrong (I don't have the magazine in front of me)
but I thought that I saw it listed as a dvd player.
I know Immersive has just come out with a scaling and dvd-a/sacd playing unit for about $4000 US. I was one of the beta testers of their first scaler which was the HOLO3D which gave me access to a well priced Panny rp82 modified with SDI out.
Tom Strade the president was going to come out with an all-in-one called the Asimulator but did not. He did however come out with a similar product called something else.
If you have the name of his new product correct in the mag I apologize, but if it is Identified as Asimulator, I can tell you that that particular product never made it to market, because I was looking for a Demo unit for the Toronto area a couple of years ago.
