I have not often looked in this area, so I may be providing redundant information. dpreview has some pretty good overall information on digital photography and has in-depth reviews of both the Nikon and Cannon.



These reviews are very long and they provide a lot of comparitative data--and comparitative pictures.



You can also use the 'side-by-side' option to get direct comparisionis.
