I am going to buy a mini dv camcorder. I am looking at the sony dcr-hc40 and the dcr-hc85. I was wondering the 40 has 1.0 mp and the 85 has a 2.1. My question is going from 1.0 mp to 2.1 worth 400 dollars. I know that lines of resolution is only 10 more. But the digital camera part will take better pictures but with the 400 bucks I could get a stand alone digital camera thats better than 2.1. Any help is appreciated.
