What's your favorite Cancelled TV shows that you miss? - Page 3

Miracles (was never given a real chance to find its own rhythm or audience)

Ed - I still miss the show, but think cancelling it was right. The 4th season was extremely uneven at best.

Sports Night Having now watched all the episodes at least twice, I cannot believe that ABC cancelled this show. Absolutely fantastic.

Thieves Featured a pre-Alias Melissa George. Guilty pleasure, but I liked it.

MTV's The State (got bought by CBS then cancelled after one show)
Aeon Flux
The Maxx
Liquid Television

and maybe:
My So Called Life

Sports Night
Dark Angel (and I *liked* season 2!)
Profit (can't believe nobody's mentioned this one ... it was on Fox in the mid-late 90's starring Adrian Pasdar. I think only 4 or 5 episodes actually aired, but I was hooked)

I was starting to enjoy the last two seasons of Two Guys & a Girl when the plug was pulled, in particular Irene (played by the talented Jillian Bach)...what can I say, I got a thing for energetic little redheads.

I liked the first couple of seasons of Two Guys....mostly because of Ryan Reynolds - a very funny guy. Near the end of the run, it seemed like the writers started confusing "mean" with "funny," as all of the characters seemed to actively hate each other, and displayedn it in very unfunny ways.

Buffalo Bill
Coupling

I forgot one....
Knoot's Landing. Boy did I love that show.

Just found out today that Touching Evil was cancelled. It was my favorite new show. It joins EZ Streets and Haunted as great "dark" shows that were cancelled much too early. Sometimes, I feel like I must put a curse on a show when I love it. The same thing happened with The Job. (PLEASE let Rescue Me have a good, long run.)

Other favorites like Homicide: Life on the Street at least had a good run and were not in their prime when cancelled.

Battlestar Galactica - with the Original cast and not what it turned into Galactica 1980.

Buck Rogers

Perfect Strangers

Star Trek: Next Generation and Deep Space Nine.

Quark - Very short lived 1970's space comedy.

Six Million Dollar Man & Bionic Woman

Laverne & Shirley - Before they moved to California and Shirley left.

Family Matters - Before it became the Urkel Show.

Space: Above & Beyond

Three's Company

Xean: Warrior Princess - Before they went to India and the show went downhill from there.

SeaQuest: Dsv

For children shows:

Land of the Lost (1990's version)

Ghostbusters cartoon

X-Men cartoon

Beakmans World - The guy in the rat suit was funny.

Dinosaurs - Jim Henson live action show.

Star Wars: Ewoks cartoon. Couldn't stand the Droids cartoon though.

There's lots more that I can't think of right now.

The big one for me is Freaks and Geeks, 18 brilliant episodes but it would have been great to have more.

Futurama deserved better treatment as well.

Birds of Prey
Clone High
Dark Angel
Miss Match
Pepper Ann
Popular
Roswell
Two of a Kind
Wonderfalls
Zoe, Duncan, Jack & Jane

Veritas the Quest was canceled way to quick. I've now had the chance to see 11 of the 13 Episodes & I really like this show. I did a search on it.
Quote:
Producers have begun discussing possible production in Europe for foreign markets. VERITAS was a huge hit in the UK - giving SCIFI UK its top quarter in history. There is a huge market for this program especially with the mega hit Da Vinci Code wetting everyones appetite for this sort of show- producers are capitalizing on this-will keep you all posted.

Norm, I hope it's true. The news blurb was from last June and nothing new has since been heard. So I doubt it is coming. But, I hope I am wrong. I saw all 13 episodes and it was really getting very cool.

ps-Same goes with Miracles.

ABC was stupid.

Todd, I agree. I but I guess we can hope.

One positive about The Job getting cancelled is that Leary & company were able to produce a equally entertaining and daring series, Rescue Me, that doesn't have nearly as many restrictions put on it as ABC/Disney put on The Job.

Odyssey 5
The Job
Street Time
Farscape

Angel...
Now that I'm watching Roswell for the first time, I'd like to add that to my list.

Angel is still my biggest missed show, closely followed by Firefly, then F&G.

I really, really miss Miracles. It was such a blast to watch Monday nights. It's kinda funny to say it, but it really helped me get through the week and look forward to the next Monday. But maybe, ju----st maybe, if the DVD sales are good enough, we'll see a revival of the series? Eh, positive thinking can't hurt, right?

mr show, strangers with candy, upright cizitens brigade. glad to see comedy central replaced great shows like SWC and UCB with shows like blue collar tv, crank yankers, and drawn together. the sad thing is, they will probably all be on dvd before seasons 2 and 3 of UCB f comedy central.
