No news, but I want it. Even the bad last couple of seasons where first Ponch was off in St. Louis with Fred Sanford and Chrissy Snow, and then where Jon was off in Wyoming.

I REALLY want to see this get the season DVD treatment, it is at the top of my wishlist.

But the bad thing is that MGM has the rights for this show, and MGM is one of the worst companies in releasing classic TV shows on DVD. My hopes is that MGM will see that TV on DVD is a HUGE market right now and joins the bandwagon SOON!!

Too bad it is on at 3 in the morning...I rarely see it.

Whatever happened to Randi Oakes?
She married actor Gregory Harrison, and they adopted a son and had 3 daughters together. He works on-and-off; she's out of the biz since the mid-80's.

Funniest thing--Randi Oakes was the mirror image of a girl I went to high school with and had a big crush on at the time CHiPs was airing; her name was--get this--Bonnie! (cue "Twilight Zone" theme music...)

Just curious if anyone has heard anything about Chips being released on DVD.

I love CHiPS! This is a definite must for the DVD market. Remember the episode where Ponch was all decked out on stage and sang 'Celebration' by Kool & the Gang - classic!

I definately want it aswell...

It is also at the top of my wishlist. But I agree, MGM is not the best for releasing TV on DVD so I won't hold my breath.

Too bad it couldn't be licensed to someone like Anchor Bay.
I am very impressed with their releases so far..
There are far worse shows than CHIPS which have had the full DVD treatment, and it ticks me off!!
