ALIAS season 4 ongoing thread (merged) - Page 24

Wow, a couple great episodes. This is what Alias needs to be.

Great episode last night! Definitely worth the two hours!

One question, though. I thought it was common knowledge that the producers had problems with Lena Olin and wouldn't ever bring her back? Am I wrong about this, or has something happened since then to reverse that stance?

It depends how you define "problems". I think they had more problems with her agent than her, but she has new representation and all is apparently patched up. Well, at least patched up enough for a 2 episode stint.

Regards,

There's been articles all over the web and this weeks TV guide about it. She said she would even be willing to guest next season.

That helix protocol is such a nice plot device.

That's what made it such a nice surprise when they did patch things up. I hadn't heard anything about her appearing before the episode, so seeing it was a treat.

It was very cool.

Although, my wife and I both laughed when we realized that they were going to be fighting "Evil Red Ball".

As far as Jennifer, they doubled her earlier in the season (while she was recovering from her injuries), so maybe they can double her for a while until it gets silly.

Or, she could always be standing behind a chair, or carrying a plant in her hands.

Or maybe there will be a new Rimbaldi prophecy:

The Chosen One shall see an immense increase in girth, which shall bring about the end game, resulting in the release of the one that shall be called "Afflac"

"Afflac"

The Afflac duck?

Anyhow, I liked the double episode but didn't like pulling out the ole' helix explanation. Once ok w/face Francie but twice just to get spymommy back in is just....echhh.

I guess we'll see how it goes as usual.

Dang it...I missed the first 15 minutes of the season finale!!!! I came in right after the first commercial break. Could someone bring me up to speed please....thanx!
Craig, if you saw the last 45 minutes, you didn't miss much.
That was quite the return of the classic Alias cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers! Kudos!
To quote Hank Hill: "What, what, what the hell?"

I practically jumped out of my seat at the end.

The season 2 finale cliffhanger had me shocked, the season 4 finale cliffhanger had me more frustrated than shocked.

Okay, thanks.

Yikes...that was one great cliffhanger, eh?
Craig, I can try to summarize what you missed. What was going on when you started watching?

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
If Vaughn's not Vaughn, who is he? Is he still related to his "Father"? I want answers for this cliffhanger, not the copout we got from last year's!
What a neat ending.

Didn't see that one coming.
Gotta agree. Didn't see that one coming.

I love this show. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
They resolve the entire Rimbaldi idea, Syd decides that Sloane has been truthful,
and then WHAMMO! New plot line!
Speculation on another board is that Vaughn is

Damn, that Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
car crash
sure was a shocker!
Well, what a night of ABC shows! Lost began with a bang and Alias ended with one! For the life of me I can't figure out where they are gonna go from here. I also can't remember what last years cliffhanger was. Can anyone remind me?

Last year's cliffhanger:

The last thing Lauren said was the number of a box in a bank or something. Sydney goes there, finds documents in the box, reads them, and starts to cry. In comes Jack, who says, "Sydney, you never were supposed to have found this."
Wowser, what an ending.
best part about the ending was that they didn't advetise all week "You'll be shocked at the ending!"

Well put.

I was actually laughing as Vaugh said his line. I was like, "yup, there's the cliffhanger", and when the crash happened, I yelled out "Oh Shit!". I was loud too.

Damn that was awesome.

Yea no joke.

at the end of the show, when Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
they were driving...i thought for sure there would be a car crash...then when he talked about being truthful....i forgot about it....then BOOM....i actually jerked backwards when the crash happened....the special effects this week were pretty damn good.....
What a shocker....we have to wait HOW LONG for the season opener???? I just got done watching the thing (taped cause I work nites) and my head is still reeling. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
I feel like I have whiplash. You'd think I was in the car with them.I so did not see the car crash coming and had to rewind it TWICE.
My only complaint was I could've done without the whole zombie thing...
The ending jerked me oau of my seat. Damn.
