Man on a Ledge plummets onto Blu-ray this week with an edition that presents the picture and sound as well as possible, along with a minimum of special features. The movie itself is hard to...
The most infamously unsuccessful movie at the box-office thus far in 2012 (though Battleship and Dark Shadows may give it some competition), Andrew Stanton’s John Carter mixes elements of...
What can I say? I love 3D! From the moment I began watching 3D content in my home I quickly discovered that I needed more content. I suspect that those of you just purchasing...
Smokey and the Bandit drives onto Blu-ray in a nice edition that can really take the viewer back to 1977 for 90 minutes of sheer moviemaking fun. The Blu-ray comes with the same HD transfer...
Monika Eriksson is one of the first antiheroines in the filmography of Ingmar Bergman. In Summer with Monika, she’s brash, effervescent, and completely captivating, that is, until the realities...
The Chicago Hope fanbase doesn't seem to be very big. I loved the series (especially the early seasons with Mandy Patinkin), but don't hold out much hope for DVD sets. Hope I'm proved wrong.
I just watched my old import Chicago Hope LD set. I've never really seen a complete episode of the show before. Quarantine, was indeed a great episode. Hopefully some one will release this somewhere on DVD.
Chicago Hope premiered opposite ER's premier and was forever compared to that show. CH never achieved the same amount of ratings success of ER, even after it moved to Mondays.
I would also like to see this as i am a big medical show person, i think i would like it and wouldn't compare it to ER or Grey's Anatomy (two of my Faves) I would really like to see this and St. Elsewhere (along with other 80's less hopefuls Thirtysomething & LA LAW) on dvd ...
and if this is from DEK I definately want to see it as it will be the only show (besides picket fences) that i haven't seen of his....
I loved this show and would love to see it on DVD. Especially with some great actors like Adam Arkin (who I recently saw film a pilot Who Get's the Parents, whilst on holiday in LA), Hector Elizondo, Mark Harmon, Christine Lahti, Peter Berg, Vondie Curtis-Hall and Criminal Minds stars Thomas Gibson and Mandy Patinkin, surprised it not been released
I wonder if part of the reason we haven't seen it yet is that it's been off the air a while and out of sight, out of mind. This is actually one of two David E. Kelly shows that I'd want to see on DVD, LA Law being the other. Hope we do see it someday as it's darn fun at times.
I think you are right Matt. People have forgotten about it. I've been watching it and i'm in S2 right now. Such a great show, i wish it would come out on dvd just to see it in good quality. I dont think music rights would be a problem, there was a ton of music in the show.
Looks like the first season of Chicago Hope is being released early next year from Revelation Films (who have been releasing Rawhide, and will be releasing Tales from the Darkside in the UK). The UK release date is Monday 5th March, 2012 (source: Amazon UK).
But even with that said, somehow, apparently, they have a good relationship with Revelation Films. Yet, according to what some people on this forum are saying, the less said about their relationship with Shout Factory and VCI Entertainment, the better.
