Welcome to the forum!  But... your posts belong in the "Completed Series?" thread.  This one is for new TVonDVD you pick up at the time you make the purchase or when you receive it.

I finally double-dipped on that A-Team Complete single-sided set.  I wonder what I'll do with those S1-4 Universal DVD-18's?  Frisbie time? :)  Someone will receive a donation soon.

Amazon has a good trade-in program where if you have DVD sets you want to get rid of you can earn a few dollars gift card credit for each one and you pay no shipping cost to unload them.     I was able to get "Tales Of Wells Fargo" for nothing on the value of the sets I no longer had any use for.

Jack, thanks for the info!  I wasn't aware of this with Amazon.  I'll look at the site.

Positives of Amazon's trade-in program, from my experience

- Easy to use

- They cover shipping

- Decent turnaround speed

- Will take some common catalog items others may not

Negatives:

- They generally don't give top dollar on less common titles then say a "Newtownvideo.com"

- It isn't always easy to find the program from within their web-site

- You get paid in Amazon credit so you will have to use it at Amazon

There's a few out here that want that series completed (Black Sheep).   It looks like the only chance for that one is a possibility that Shout might pick up the remaining 13 episodes sometime down the road.

That's one of my "holy grail" shows.  I didn't wait for the complete set though.  You'll enjoy that set, some good extras included.

I too loved Combat.  It was one of my father's favorite shows, and back in the 1960s, I caught episodes watching the show with him.  Vic Morrow and Rick Jason were both gritty, and the show seemed quite realistic to me at the time.

You guys....don't get me started on this show .  I'll have to exercise restraint to keep from hijacking it into a "Combat!" thread.  I can't count the times Dad and I watched this show together back then.  I missed a lot of S1 & 2 when they aired but I remembered specific S3 episodes from the airings when I went through the DVD sets.

The show held up well for me with the DVD's.

We all played "Combat" in the neighborhood back then.  Those plastic Combat official Thompson machine guns....those were the days

^^^

I remember those guns!  Those are fond memories.  I wonder what they cost back then -- about $5.00?  I can't recall.  But I do remember the guns you're talking about.  Thanks for the blast from the past. :)
