Re: Whats the last TV DVD you bought

Just blind bought THREE'S COMPANY - Seasons 1, 2 and 3. I've decided that my TV on DVD collection needed more comedies (even though I love drama) and to get into classic shows I was not familiar with. My decision to go with this one was based on three main factors : the likeable cast (although I'm not familiar with Joyce DeWitt, I've always enjoyed John Ritter and Suzanne Somers in what I've seen of their other works), the attractive price (for who isn't it a factor at the moment?) and the fact that the entire show is out (I'm also interested in shows like THE DONNA REED SHOW and MARY TYLER MOORE, but neither is complete at the moment, so I'll wait and see). I really hope to get a few good laughs out of this show.

Other than that, since next Saturday is my birthday, I'll be getting:

THE NANNY - Season 3
SIX FEET UNDER - Season 5 (from my sister)
SMALLVILLE - Season 7 (from my father)

Now, where I'll find the time to watch these, I don't know yet, but I should figure it out soon.

If you like animation I recommend Bravestarr. Not sure if you've ever heard of it, but it's also a sci-fi western. Very creative.

Btw, I just noticed oldies.com is selling Brisco for $85.

Excellent! Isn't Blu-ray just that much better...I have a Sony PS3 that I've used as my primary DVD player since I bought it in October of 2007...what amazing machine, does a wonderful job of upconverting my DVDs, too.

Nothing wrong with visiting every once in a while.

peanuts snoopys reunion? I've never heard of that. A few months ago I watched the film "A Boy Named Charlie Brown" and the nostalgia was so overwhelming I was practically weeping. It was funny because I wasn't sure if I'd still like it. I still have a snoopy candle I got for my birthday when I was about 5 or 6.

Re: Whats the last TV DVD you bought

If you count bootleg sets, then I just bought the last two seasons of Charlies Angels. Doesn't look like Sony will ever release theses seasons, so I finally gave in and bought a set at ioffer. Now that I did that, Sony will announce season 4 in a month or so. LOL

Watch what you post! Info like that can get you BANNED from this site! (Take it from someone who learned his lesson, THE HARD WAY!)

If Sony releases a Legitimate Season do your part and purchase it, then DESTROY the Bootleg. (I did this when I discovered that a Movie I purchased on an Auction Site, Journey to the Far Side of the Sun was not a legitimate copy.) When the real deal was released, I went over to Best Buy and bought it, then placed the Bootleg in a Vice and SMASHED IT!

Thanks for the warning. Not to worry. I will destroy it if Sony ever releases the official release. Maybe Sony will do what Warner plans and offer it Burn on demand.

I'm not sure what the last TV DVD is for me. Check with my wife once I'm dead.

Re: Whats the last TV DVD you bought

The Adventure of Robin Hood: Season 2
Mission: Impossible- The Complete 5th Season
Sledge Hammer: Season 1
Sledge Hammer: Season 2
Square Pegs: The Like Totally Complete Series... Totally

I took advantage of the recent Amazon sales and picked up most of these for under $17 each, with Robin Hood being the cheapest at $6. Once I pick up Season 4, Vol. 1 of VTTBOTS next week, I won't be needing and more TV on DVD for a looong time
