It could just mean that your parents, grandparents and great-grandparents were just "gettin' busy".

Usually right next to you, but looking over his shoulder.

Is Zen making road trips north of the border to get his Disney fix?

FWIW, Lea Salonga has the best voice of any human being who has ever lived. There. I said it and I'm glad.

Then why are you pining over Harry Connick?

Couldn't be as nice as Paul Robeson.

Hers is the voice of an angel.

Nah, that's Lily Pons.

Well, nice pick for opera. I love Billie Holiday myself. Don't be too discouraged by all of today's music. There are still some lovely female vocalists out there...at least try some of these...jeez!!

erykah badu- kind of a smoothed out soul take on Billie Holiday's voice.

Sade- "Sonic velvet" is the only way to describe her voice. Ladies love her too. Her band was amazing live. A very original sound that has cult followings in almost every musical sub-sect.

Cassandra Wilson- Very moody Jazz vocalist. Saw her twice at the annual Playboy Jazz Festival. She is fantantic, as is the annual Jazz Festival at the Hollywood Bowl.

Sara McLaughlin- her lyrics make me want to slit my wrists but her voice is very comforting in a way. That song in Toy Story 2 gets me every flippin' time.

Grace Slick- Her voice is very similar to some Hindu singers I've been in to. Her voice was(she retired) very middle-eastern.

Okay, no one mentions Maria Callas. Chrissie Hyndes of "The Pretenders", Rickie Lee Jones, Martha Davis of "The Motels", Annie Lennox, Lisa Gerrard, P.J. Harvey, Christina Scabbia(Lacuna Coil).

I have many of my friends begging for copies of my female "chill out" mixed cd compilations. Minus the "computer pop" on the market, women are doing some of the best music today.

But the best? Minnie Ripperton..or Allison Krauss..fuggeddaboutit...mesmerizing.

Yes, I corrected the spelling of her name in your quote... Don't get me started or I'll dust off my damn TS2 story for y'all!

Oh. And about all of the above:

Lea Salonga: a voice from the heavens.

Mike, just got my Xanax refilled. I can send you a couple.

As to Salonga, I agree with the "voice" but some of the non-film music songs are really average. She shines though in Mulan. I still think McLaughlin's song in TS2 is better. I cry like a baby, every time.

Where ever that is? Mike, you watching Mulan tonight?

Maria Callas. Didn't she share a husband with Jackie O.?

Scruffy, persistant and eccentric. The Boston Red Sox are the champs! I almost broke my leg jumping on their band-wagon. They were very fun to watch.

Next to pro tennis, baseball is still my favorite sport to watch.

Well Spellbound, you only corrected it half way. Smarty-pants

I watched my Mirrorball-Sarah McLachlan dvd. Man, that is a very good performance. Something about her voice and lyrics that tug at me. She's very pretty too.

I sure get teased a bunch for liking her as much as I do. That's alright though. I'll poison them in their sleep, listening to Sarah on my iRiver.

So, what kind of damage do you think I can do by chucking all 12 LOTR dvd at people's faces? I swear , here comes the hype, and not one of these trolls has even seen the set. Got into an argument that Gone with the Wind set wouldn't even be close. Threads about "real hobbits!?", that Viggo dude staring at me from every display at stores. I should sell the sets in software/for sale for a $1 just to spite. It's going to take over....I've had all I can standz, it's not you guys, it's the revolving fan boys. As to the other trilogy that came out last month, I paid Walmart, I think $45.99, I bought a hammer for $11.88 and proceeded to beat it to dust outside their front door. And it felt good.

At least, I'm doing my part.
