CarlosL: Another deep base scene is in the opening right after REVOLUTIONS passes, then there's the explosion. I also agree with Nick on the three scenes he mentioned as well. Great great stuff.

Spectacular movie btw. Simply spectacular.

On disc one of matrix revolutions dvd when I select special features and the player goes to the menu where it says trailers and web links, there is no audio in that part of the menu instead there is like a very loud noise. Has anyone else notice that?

Dont worry, its just a poorly made menu. Its like that on every copy.

I haven't been this disappointed in a movie in a long time. The first movie was perfect, the second was flawed, mainly the final 20 minutes or so. The third movie was just a mess from beginning to end. Choppy boring first 30 minutes, followed by a completely rehashed lobby scene (it's different, because now they walk on the ceiling!), and unforgettable cheezy over-the-top dialog during the battle scenes reminding me of bad Roland Emmerich or Michael Bay movies.

Let me just say i was 18 when I saw the Matrix back in High School! It was a GREAT film. I loved it and it pushed me towards being a movie lover collector. It was also the first DVD I owned(along with the Iron giant). My roommate and I would watch it up at college all the time on my cheapie GE DVD player.

Fast forward to The Matrix Reloaded. I had to take my girlfriend who hated it. I liked it but I was seriously unimpressed. I think too much was revealed before hand about certain scens and characters and it was way too hyped up. When I got it on dvd I wasn't hyped anymore and I really enjoyed the presentation in my home theater.

Fastforward to November for Matrix Revolutions. My girlfriend and friends refused to go with me. I had to go by myself after work. I expect to hate it. I had read awful reviews everywhere including here. But to be honest I loved it. It had this cheezie stilted feeling of the old Star Wars films. Great action(the mechs holding the guns gangsta style was dumb though). I liked the message about love even though its all cliche. The acting was what i had to come to expect after seeing Reloaded. After seeing this movie though it seemed to me that Reloaded and Revoolutions could have been one film. I'm thinking that Warner possibly pushed the brothers to make this a trilogy like Star Wars.

Fastforward to yesterday. Got the DVD and damn that Smith Neo fight is AWESOME. Sounds great on my system and it looks awesome too. The mech battle is amazing! I remember seeing the squidies first come into the dock in the movie theater and i was like dammmn. This was deffinately a fun movie to me and a better film than Reloaded. Although nothing will beat my fond memories of going to see the first film on opening night!

PerryD...my feelings exactly.

And yes, I love good popcorn flicks. I watched this one at the theaters and was underwhelmed.

I viewed it at a friend's house a couple of nights ago and fell asleep. This will be the first sequel/trilogy where I will not complete ownership of the collection.

Actually, the "brothers" had always planned to make it a trilogy, and wanted to film all three at once.

I agree with you though on the Neo/ Smith fight, and the Zion dock battle. Truly amazing stuff. I also really enjoyed the Smith/Bane vs Neo in the real world too.
