vapour barrier in ceiling

Thread Starter
I am building a HT in my basement, and am contemplating adding acoustical insulation in the interior walls and ceiling. Since this is the case, do I need a vapour barrier in the ceiling? Obviously, the exterior walls require a vapour barrier, but I am not sure about the ceiling and interior walls. Does it make a difference if I use standard insulation or specifically designed "acoustic" insulation?

Philip J,

Vapor barriors are to stop moisture. So you don't need it on ceiling and some say you don't need it all the exterior walls if it is concrete ,but I would do it on the walls to be safe.
