Hi Traders!

THANK YOU for remembering to post feedback using trader's EXACT screen names. There have been a few problems lately with misidentified feedback. But, if anyone sees that their feedback has not been posted under their screen name, let me know and I will correct it.

And, WELCOME to a WHOLE SLEW of new traders on the list. If you are wondering why there is no number next to your name, do NOT worry! Your first +1 gets your name on the list. Your second +1 gets a +1 next to your name. The third +1 gets you a +2 and so on. A screwy system, maybe, but one that applies to everyone for fairness.

I purchased an Xbox 360, Gears of War, and Guitar Hero III with wireless guitar after Jon replied to a wanted ad on hometheaterforum.com. We had a series of emails discussing the details and working out the deal. He seemed very pleasant and always replied to my emails in a timely matter. I paid him via Paypal. He told me that he would ship on 1/16. He printed the labels for shipping on 1/17 (USPS with delivery confirmation). He assured me that he had dropped them off for shipping on that same date. 9 days later and I still had not received anything. The packages were not even showing up in the USPS system. Neither his university's mail service, his local PO, or my PO had any record of these packages being shipped. I contacted him. At first all he said was "I don't know what to tell you, I shipped when I said I did". After still not receiving anything, I emailed him multiple times and he never replied. I finally filed a Paypal dispute. I finally received the 2 packages today, 11 days after he supposedly shipped them. Interestingly enough, the post mark date on the package was 1/24/08, the same exact date I filed the Paypal dispute. He also stated in his emails that the system that I was buying was bought NEW by him from Ebay. I asked him to send me the invoice or receipt. He didn't have one, but did finally forward the notice of "Auction won" which clearly stated that the system was second-hand and certainly not new. The AV cable also is damaged (the plastic housing which plugs into the back of the console is missing it's entire bottom-half) - he originally had told me that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the system.

Although I finally did receive what I paid for, I recommend to avoid this seller. He is not trustworthy. I would never deal with him again, after all the frustration and stress he caused. A very unsatisfying experience, my first in nearly six years of being a member here.
