Corvette Summer: We NEED this DVD. - Page 2

Anybody know for certain what the OAR was for Corvette Summer? INHD2 will probably show it in 1.78:1 regardless, which is okay if it was 1.85, but not so okay if it was 2.35:1.

This is finally being released on August 30th.

sorry to be the skeptic but, how do you know?

From the digital bits:

Quote:
And Warner has announced the DVD release of Chris Farley and Matthew Perry in Almost Heroes, Mark Hamill and Annie Potts in Corvette Summer, and Danny DeVito and Joe Piscopo in Wise Guys, all for 8/30 (SRP $14.97 each).

Finally!!!!!! I can't wait to get my hands on Corvette Summer at last.

this the John Ritter movie?

if so- WHOO HOOO!

Definitely will get Hero At Large and will consider Corvette Summer. I'd like to see Cotton Candy released at some point. Anyone know this movie? Ron Howard, set in Dallas. I want to see it again because it shows Town East Mall how it used to be. And, scenes inside Lake Highlands High School.

GUMBALL RALLY! yes! I missed out the LD release so glad I waited!
I can't wait to pick up Corvette Summer. I'll probably get Hero At Large also.

what is that?
"Wise Guys"! Yes!

I can finally get rid of my pan-and-scan VHS copy.

Thanks a bunch, Warner!

Sincerely,

John Kilduff...

I'll also pick up "Corvette Summer" and possibly "Hero At Large".

Re: Corvette Summer: We NEED this DVD.

Is Corvette Summer enhanced for widescreen TVs?

Re: Corvette Summer: We NEED this DVD.

I didn't realize this was already out, but given that it's a Warner release I'd say it's anamorphic.

Re: Corvette Summer: We NEED this DVD.

It is anamorphic. It's great to see it in widescreen for the first time and it looks soooo much better than the VHS, though I've noticed it's a tad cropped on the top and bottom compared to the P&S VHS. The menus are very bare-bones, btw.

Probably because it was shot open matte.

Yes, I was going to mention that, but I wasn't sure. I thought I read somewhere that it was shot open matte, but I couldn't remember exactly where.
