No Sean Young please.

Sean Yougn woudl be sure to do something to disrupt production. Besides, she's 43.

Well, I think I have found a better candidate. Her name is Karen Cliche and starred on Adventure,Inc and will be starring on Mutant X's 3rd season.

Here is Alex Ross' version of Wonder Woman:

I have the perfect young hollywood actress, and I think she would be great.
MILA KUNIS from that 70s show,,she was in the horrible American Psycho 2 as well.
Yepper Depper.
Great FIT. now of course she hasnt done very much, but hopefully she might get more roles.
Isn't Kunis kind of tiny, though? About Sarah Michelle Gellar-sized?
yeah shes small but wonder women has gotten bigger over time,in the old comics I dont recall her being very tall. Actually When I think of wonder women I dont think of a really tall person,,I think a lil shorter. But thats me thinking of the older comics,,I dont even know what she looks like now in comics but no doubt its over the top.

I hadn't even thought about Shannon Elizabeth, but she would make a good Wonder Woman. Sandra Bullock - naaaaah.

I also agree, either Catherine Zeta-Jones or Lucy Lawless would be great for the part. Catherine has the sexy look about her, while Lucy has that warrior look about her from her "Xena" days.

And if they can't get either of them, here's someone who I think would also be good: Chyna.
If you're going the WWE route, I'd pick Lita over Chyna (and if it were Lita vs. Chyna).
I don't know how she is on the acting part but whoever the brunette is that stars in the Miller Lite commercials looks fine to me. You know, the one who wrestles the other girl in the fountain or mud? This is where the two guys at the bar are imagining the scene. The two girls argue over "tastes great" and "less filling". Not sure of her name but damn, she is HOT! No problem with the athletic build and definitely no problem "filling out the costume".

That's Kitana Baker. I doubt the folks at Warner Brothers would cast someone who's got a lot of "adult" video entertainment baggage to represent Wonder Woman on the big screen.

Karen Cliche,

HOT DAMN!!! WW for sure!

Here are a couple of ladies that are decent actors and also have the height as well, as being young enough to start a franchise.
Mandy Moore -5'10" 19 years old
Jodi Lyn O'Keefe -5'10" 25 years old
Laura Prepon -5'10" 23 years old (hey throw a wig on her)
I was shocked when I read that Mandy Moore was 5'10" (what IMDB lists as her height), but other internet sites list her at 5'8"-5'9" which is more in line with how tall I thought she was. Or those "Milk does a body good" ads are really truthful! Either way, the boots with high heels should alleviate any height issues I guess. But I don't think Mandy would quite fit the bill, though she's very cute.

And the names of the movies would be what?
They should find someone who can act first. It's easier to take a good actor and send them to the gym than to take someone who looks the part and teach them how to act.
Kitana's been a naughty gal on the Playboy channel...

Jeez, Wonder Woman is a Goddess, not Miss July. Most of the actresses here don't have the stature, age, or even (especially) the talent to pull off a such a role.

Why not cast Shane West or Paul Walker as James Bond?

Catherine Zeta Jones is definately the one that got away. Jennifer Connelly might have bene nice.

Some of the suggestions just sent chills up my spine!

e.g. Chyna, SMG, Sandra Bullock, Shannon Elizabeth

1. Catherine Zeta Jones has the face.... the perfect face as Wonder Woman and she can act but I can't imagine her in that Wonder Woman outfit. Have you guys seen her naked? She doesn't have the body. You can pad her chest but no way you can fix her butt and thigh to match the role of Wonder Woman.

2. Leonor Varela - She has the body for sure and a face that could be Wonder Woman. I believe her acting can be fine-tuned.

3. Jennifer C would of been great in her 20's but she's too skinny now. Her face is still great but she would really have to bring her curves back in order to look good in the WW outfit.

I vote for an unknown but I just know they want to bring in someone who will bring in the crowds.

Remember, Wonder Woman is a leader and very intelligent. Some of the women you guys mentioned might look good in Playboy but we want someone who has intellectual beauty, not bimbo beauty.

Speak for yourself!!

Hey, I was just suggesting based on the earlier comment about having to fill out the suit. Linda Carter didn't always come across as the sharpest knife in the drawer but she definitely had curves!

I could definately go for Mandy Moore. She's proven herself in the acting world now. She'd have to bulk a bit, though.

"Karen Cliche"

Looks very familiar - Where have I seen her before????

I say get an unknown as well.
Theres a petition for this woman, Jordan Bayne,to get the part.
Not sure how tall she is.

About Chucks post,I havent read a WW comic since George Perez was doing the book in the late 80s(I love Perez work).Im not familiar with the story which youre referring to but I read a script review about 6 months ago and in that draft Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
WW dies in the beginning of the film and another takes her place
.

Whether that follows the story ur talking about I dont know and that draft can always change but I thought youd be interested.

She looks acceptable for Wonder Woman.

For a young actress, the brunette from Black Sash comes to mind: Missy Peregrym.

Here's a small gallery of photos of her.

Just to be a comic book geek about the whole thing, I was at Costco today getting some tired replaced, and I happened to spot this big book on the new Justice League, and they listed Wonder Woman as 5'10" 145 pounds.

Nice to see this thread lives again, with some intriguing casting ideas. Any new info on a production schedule yet?

SciFiWire: "New Writer Takes on Wonder?"

The Comics2Film/CBR News Web site reported a rumor that Warner Brothers has hired writer Laeta Kalogridis to come up with a new draft for a proposed Wonder Woman movie. Philip Levens (Smallville) is writing his own screenplay for a Wonder Woman feature film, based on the DC Comics character.

Kalogridis was a writer and executive producer on The WB's short-lived Birds of Prey TV series, which was also based on a DC Comics property. The site reported that Kalogridis will be starting Wonder Woman from scratch, writing a completely new script dealing with the origins of the character.

My only problem with Laeta Kalogridis is how much she screwed up Birds of Prey. If she stays truer to the comic (unlike Birds) she could do a good job.
