Denon 2900/Outlaw 950 - Last Waltz DVD

While watching/listening to these DVD yesterday, I encountered an oddety. Between songs, which played/sounded fine, there are interviews and such. It was during these interviews that I would get no sound from the 2900/950. Tried both the analog out (using a pair of Harmonic Tech cables) - 950 set to PLII-M mode, and the Coax Dig out (Better Cables) - 950 in DD and same - no dialog could be heard. The 2900 replaced a Pioneer 525, and I did not encounter this problem (I'm sure of it cause I sat and watched the DVD when I first bought it).

ANy thoughts here are appreciated. Thanks

Any thoughts on this from anybody? Have you encountered this before?

What kinda signal is that[PCM/DD/DTS]?
