Okay I just saw this on dvd, and I was very impressed!
There are so many things, but especially the way he shots vapor is amazing!!
Very funny and bizarre, but also warm.
The Picture was very good! Good job Criterion! It looked new. The sound was the same, no noise or anything.
I noticed that the sound is mixed rather upfront ( Actually it is the most upfront I ever heard voices in a film before!)
A couple of questions ;
What was the two sisters doing in the bed with the elder man? Was this a rehearsal or was it sex ? I guess it could be both since the whole film mixes dream and reality.
Also the scene with all the women in Guido's life.
Did going upstairs mean his subconsciouses or maybe to forget them completely?
At the end of that scene where his wife is cleaning; Is this the way Guido wants his women?
So he can be in control? Or was it the way he or his wife saw there relationship?
