The April issue of Home Theater Builder has a diy candy counter featured.
Anyone ever created their own candy counter?
If so, do you have any pictures?
update on my plans: My wife insisted on us having a garage sale this month, so my garage workshop is out of commission for a month. I've finished my Visio plans for a mini-counter. I can send them to you, if you're interested, but it really is a custom job-- made to fit with my situation.
Did you see the April HTB article? I don't get the mag. If so, how good/useful was the article?
Please, oh please.
Send them to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'll private email you my other email address.
Thanks!
What else cant you do?
Darn, you're married.
Your wife is lucky to have diy guy like yourself!
I don't get the HTB magazine but used to subscribe to Audio Video Interiors.
Oh yeah, please, please, please post pictures of your candy counter.
Another option is to look thru your local classifieds to see if any local stores are going to close up shop and any glass display cases are for sale. I know when a local K-Mart was shut down in the first wave of Chapt. 11 closings they sold fixtures as well as display cases.
Raul-- I haven't started work on it yet. I'll be sure to post pics, when I'm finished.
Scooter-- Good point. I have a friend who manages one of the bigger malls in our area. Stores go out of business every once in a while, and they sometimes just LEAVE their fixtures behind. I've been trying to hit him up for some, but nothing's gone out of business in 6 months! I finally got tired of waiting. My wife works for a JCPenneys-- I got a free case that was pretty beat-up. I ripped the glass, mirrors, and hardware out of it and am planning on using a bunch of that.
