I'm new at this. Sorry if I submitted the wrong post before.
I AM PLANNING TO BUY ASAP A 27" SONY WEGA AND I WILL BE SITTING 8.5 FT FROM THE SCREEN. DO YOU THINK THIS IS A SUFFICIENT SCREEN SIZE?
IT WOULD BE TOUGH TO AFFORD A 32"
PLEASE RESPOND TO
SPINKAT@SYMPATICO.CA
THANK YOU!

Try doing a search on Viewing Distance

You should find several posts that answer your question.

Happy Viewing.

I think a big part of veiwing distance is personal perference.

Whats the best part of a movie theatre? Middle mid or middle back? I perfer to sit right smack in the Middle of a theatre, usually.

Anyway, I suggest heading to you nearest Circuit City or equivalent and just sorta test the tv's out. Pace out your distances etc.

Also I notice I get used to what I'm watching.

Meaning 25" or 27", I usually get involved with the screen and tune out everything else. So couple of inches doesnt really matter to me. I think its the same with most people. As long as the screen isnt abnormally small, you'll probably get used to it.

Thank you! This is pretty good.
I guess becuz there's a maximum and a minimum, it goes, to some extent, to personal choice...providing you don't exceed the max.
Cheers!
