Pros: Very cheap for a 42" 1080P
Cons: Picture quality not on par
Cons: Picture quality not on par
The Westinghouse 42" 1080P unit is a decent, but not great, 1080P set. The black level as it comes configured is very poor, and the ability to make broad adjustments is significantly lacking.
The unit has very poor speakers. For those of us who use a receiver, this is something that simply doesn't matter, we really won't hear how the thing sounds.
The rear offers ample connections, multiple HDMI, optical, and computer inputs. The reality though, is that the price is what sells. Found locally for less then $500, the Westinghouse is the only 42" even close to this price new. This also sells from TigerDirect cheaply.
I use this in my bedroom, and for that purpose, this is perfect. A great way to get a good - decent picture into a bedroom without spending a bundle.
