Literary Masterpiece

Cons: It is dark, most concerningly in a literal sense, though it is a particularly dark plot as well.
Some graphic novels touch on light and inconsequential topics in interesting but eventually rather limited ways; Watchmen as a literary work and commentary on the human condition, our fallibilities and predilections, is insightful and persuasive. One of the best movies I have ever seen. I am not much a fan of the graphic novel in its simplest form and thus had no previous knowledge of the series or particular expectations.
