Very happy user

Pros: Does exactly what the advertisers say it does and does it very well. The designers are very responsive to improvement suggestions.
Cons: The setup takes a little understanding but easy enough once you understand what you are doing.

I want to start off by saying that I am not an employee of TouchSquid. I have owned a TouchSquid since just before Christmas 2011 and have used it exclusively since then. My Squid is able to control a Sony TV, Oppo Dvd upscaler, Bose V10 Audio system and Sony 5 Disc CD Player, all without difficulty. I am particularly impressed with 2 things about this unit and it's developers. First it does exactly what their literature and advertising say it will do. That is to say, it and it alone will control all your audio visual equipment all with one device. Before having the Squid we had 5 clickers and one had 63 buttons. Why you would need 63 buttons to control a piece of equipment is beyond me but it did. Now that we have the Squid we need only the one device and changing from watching TV to watching a DVD is as simple as the selection of one button. The second thing that impresses me about the Squid's developers is their responsive to, what were, initial bugs and suggestions for improvements. It was not uncommon for them to address the issue and have an update ready within 24 hours! Speaking of updates the Squid is the easiest piece of hardware I own to update. All you do is download the update and click on it and it does everything else, without losing any of your settings. The whole process takes only a couple of minutes. I am so impressed with this device that I will be purchasing a second one so my wife and I can each have our own. Do not hesitate in purchasing one of these devices - you won't be sorry! smile.gif
