Bought this TV in 3/2003, developed the 'dreaded' red & green flash when turning the unit off within 6 months.  Local dealer replaced and performed an almost videophile ISF calibration on unit after gun installs all covered under manufacturer warranty.  NO problems with unit until 7/09 when hyperboard started going bad causing the 'wiggly' screen until everything was warmed up.  Repair cost $188, not bad IMO for 6 yeas service.

Still haven't seen a TV other than plasma that comes close to CRT in PQ.  I'm keeping this set until it's unfixable, or something comes out that can match the PQ and fluidity of a CRT-based TV!
