I did a fair amount of research, and selected this model because it seemed like a pretty good value.  1080p, a fair number of outputs, and a decent featureset ("game" mode, USB in, "24p true cinema" mode when connected to certain Sony hardware)

The USB port could be more useful than it is, however.  It seems to support a very limited set of video formats.  Notably, 3GP seems to be lacking -- which is a shame, since plugging in a camera phone seems like one of the most compelling use cases.
