Pros: good audio transfer for a low budget film
Cons: mediocre picture quality; a very mundane slice of life story

Small town friendships and rivalries get a decidedly mundane airing in Anthony Burns’ Skateland. With nothing new to offer in terms of story and a cast of characters who are singularly uninteresting, Skateland uses up good will almost instantly in a slice-of-Texas-life tale that’s long on partying and short on characterization, narrative, and direction. Even the production values are rather subpar in this outing, one of the recent spate of “what-the?” movies. What the heck did anyone see in this script that would possess a production company to green light such a tired, underwhelming project?
